Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms is music for a modern era, bringing Broadway sensibilities and lyrical, intimate styles into a compelling blend. Also on the program is another great American classic: Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei (his famous Adagio), a work of rare inspiration and deep longing.
