James Fankhauser
The Nineties and into the New Millennium

Jim’s only time away from the Cantata Singers in the eighties was the spring of 1989, when Gerald van Wyck was our guest conductor for Crosscurrents (March, 1989).  In the nineties, Jim was on sabbatical for the 90/91 season during which our Assistant Conductor, Steve Morgan, prepared the choir for Andrew Parrott in October and Wayne Riddell in March as well as conducting the December and May concerts himself.  In February, 1995, Helmut Rilling was guest conductor for the Haydn: Missa Solemnis concert.
